50th Anniversary – Wainuiomata Swimming Baths

The Wainuiomata Swimming Baths officially opened on 25 November 1967. The pool was funded by the community through events such as the annual Baths Fund Christmas Parade.

In the early 1970s the main pool was extended to Olympic size and in 1984 a hydroslide was added.
